i'd guess that most D.I.N.K. (dual income, no kids) couples can relate to eating nearly every meal on the couch in front of the tv...talking only between commercials, assuming no dvr shows are available for viewing, running through life and working solely for the weekends. well, we've been doing this for a long time, rarely eating meals at our overpriced dining room table that we just had to have. this has bothered me for sometime...feeling like it is not "normal" family activity. as luck should have it, rb's momma gave us a two-top table that fits perfectly in our kitchen and is nearly unavoidable when walking towards the living room to eat. now, we have a permanent reminder to sit & enjoy each other's company...which, i'd say is happening approximately 50 percent of the time. hey...baby steps people...we're talking about a life changer here ;)
if you could be any animal...what would it be? (maybe we should only consider regionally animals) don't get me wrong, i absolutely love dogs...but, i think i would be a squirrel. they are so cute, can run so fast, and climb really high. we have a lot of squirrels running around out back. kooper loves chasing them & i love feeding them squirrel corn...guess you could call it a win/win for the 2 of us...
don't worry...he's got his eye on the prize in the backyard here..while dozing on the heated blanket
